On the 28th of June, this hot, hazy, humid 93 degrees day in Boston, JTA is off. Months in the working consisting of long nights of planning (packing) and dreaming we are finally here. Setting aside all nerves, I’m taking one step in a new direction of growth and discovery. We are off to Acadia National Park, my mothers’ favorite place in the world. I look forward to sharing what Acadia has to offer you and hopefully inspire some of you to visit.
Maybe Acadia will soon be your favorite place?….
What a great idea. We drove cross country last year with our kids so no trip this year. I’ll follow from home…
We are heading to Acadia in September for the first time! Will follow your travels and hopefully learn a few things through your experiences… have a safe and happy trip!!
Before you leave Boston you should go on the best tour in Boston … The Black Heritage Trail. It is free and given every day by park rangers from Boston African American National Historical Site. So, few people know about it, and it is so inspirational and unknown. Have a great trip.
Yay! So happy that your Journey is finally here and has started. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see and hear everything you are exploring and discovering!
Hey Erin!
We certainly plan on making the rounds in Boston once we get back…we’ve heard many great things about the Heritage Trail so that will be on the to-do list for sure: Thanks for the tip!
